Merriam-Webster dictionary defines stewardship as “the activity or job of protecting and being responsible for something”.
Here at Columbine we also see stewardship as a way to care for this community and ensure we live our mission of “providing a religious home where we can follow our own spiritual paths together, seek to transform ourselves and the larger community by living lives of integrity, service and love.” Our congregation gives in many ways, through time, talent, and treasure. Every spring we do a pledge drive which is used to create our budget for the coming fiscal year (July 1st – June 30th.) This is a time for each family to consider their financial contribution to the church. We also suggest giving a Fair Share commitment, this is a progressive guide on what to consider as you put your pledge together. For more information see the Suggested Fair Share Giving Guide.
