Growing a Progressive Spiritual Community to Build a Just and Loving World

How to Be Sad

August 23, 2026 10 am

Rev. Jenny Amstutz

From broken hearts to let downs to loss, life gives us many opportunities to feel the feelings we don't want to feel. Join your cheerful and ever-optimistic Minister, Rev. Jenny Amstutz, in an exploration of the necessary art of unapologetic sadness.

During service, children will be invited to join us for our Faith Exploration program. Our program (K-5th) engages the spirit, mind, and body through games, movement, and hands-on activities. Kids start in the sanctuary with the whole congregation before heading to their classes.

For our youngest friends (under age 5), Nursery care is available for the duration of the service.

Topic for this weekend:

FE Classrooms are exploring the theme Ya'll means All in an ongoing summer project called All-togeth-art Altered Books.
