Heaven Within: Strength and Curiosity in a time of Apocalypse

We all carry the Divine Spark within us - the building blocks, the energy of Heaven on Earth. The more we learn to stay aware of this truth about ourselves, the more we will be able to recognize that truth about everyone we meet, and the more we will be empowered to spead the Heaven we carry within us. Author Clarissa Pinkola Estes writes "One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul." We will explore how we might live from the Heaven Within, to "show our soul" even in a time of great revealing and disclosure; even in a time of apocalypse.

During service, children will be invited to join us for our Faith Exploration program. Our program (K-5th) engages the spirit, mind, and body through games, movement, and hands-on activities. Kids start in the sanctuary with the whole congregation before heading to their classes.

For our youngest friends (under age 5), Nursery care is available for the duration of the service.

This month's theme is Awakening Curiosity. And all month long, we will explore how awakening our curiosity is a bridge to “other worlds.” This week, we begin by exploring how curiosity is a bridge to a more just world. As we do that, we will have a little fun with Star Wars Day (May 4) as well as learn more about our UU Value of Justice.
