On the third Sunday of each month, Columbine UU Church “shares the plate” with a non-profit beneficiary. Information about this agency is available in E-blasts and by way of an insert in the Order of Service beginning on the second Sunday of each month. If you are unable to attend the service and would like to contribute, mail or deliver your cash or check to the church. If writing a check make it to Columbine UU Church with the notation, “STP” in the memo line.” Pledge payments will not be shared. The slideshow above shows some of the organizations we have shared our plate with over the years.
The Beneficiary for March is the No More Deaths
No More Deaths is an advocacy group based in Arizona that works to end the deaths of migrants crossing the desert regions near the United States-Mexico border. Volunteers provide food, water, and medical aid to the migrants in the desert and offer humanitarian aid to people in Mexico who have been deported from the US. Since 2008 No More Deaths has been an official ministry of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson. If you are unable to attend the service and would like to contribute you may mail or deliver your check or cash to the church. If writing a check, put “STP” in the memo line. Pledge payments will not be shared.
